AQMS-900C-PM₂.₅ particle monitor uses the principle of beta ray absorption to monitor the concentration of fine particulate matter PM₂.₅ in the air. The system configuration includes a cutting head, filter membrane, and calibration membrane. Beta rays are a high-speed electron stream. When it passes through particulate matter, part of the energy is absorbed by the particulate matter, causing the intensity to attenuate. The attenuation of low-energy beta rays is only related to the mass of the absorbing material and has nothing to do with other physical properties (such as particle dispersion, color, gloss, shape, etc.).
